 Rich DeWitt   

Has been # 1, 2 or 3 in CT for several years

He has a very unique style

His great anticipation of ball placement and recognition of spin is tremendous

He is the only known player in the country to have a very difficult "Dead Ball"

This has confused players which helped him achieve his highest rating of 2475

His rating for years has been between 2200 and 2300

He is a great blocker and has terrific ball placement

He has taken games from many excellent players 

 

  Nicole Jankura

  

As a 10 year old, Nicole was # 1 in New England

She reached the top 15 in the United States

Her style of play seemed to emulate Champion Inna Laskova

Her forehand was extremely powerful

Some players felt it was as difficult as anyone’s in the club

Her serves were tough to read and set up her forehand

At only 10, her strokes were near perfect

She now is a swimming star for Shelton High School

At her best was # 13 in the United States

Also # 7 in the US over 30 years of age

Insane power in her forehand

Virtually no one able to return her forehand inside out shot.

Plays very smart

She was ahead of World # 4 at US Open in Florida, 18 to 17

Now she excels in Tennis 

 

  Yongmei Li

  

Virtually perfect strokes

Great backhand and very powerful

Learned to hit a strong forehand

Reached # 14 in the United States

Also was # 8 in the over 30 years for women

Her flat hit was unmatched

She had a 21-2 record in the 2005 Joola NA Team Tournament 

 

  Jerry Monopoli 

   

# 2 rated player in the United States as a 12 year old

He was a master using his anti spin.

Great blocker and counter driver

Finished fourth in the Men’s division at 12 years old behind Sakai, Schuld and Shapiro

Excellent ball control, shot selection and placement

Practiced an incredible amount of hours

Greatest junior to come from CT.

 

 William Morales

# 1 Eight year old in New England

Top 20 in the United States

Strong forehand kill

Very good blocker

Likes to lob

Extremely good athlete 

 

  Tara Profitt    

Tara’s determination made her a championship swimmer as a youth

Moving to Table Tennis she has a great work ethic

With her dedicated coach, Roman Tinyszin, she rapidly improved to make the US ParaPanAm Team

In doing so, in less than a year, she won a Gold Medal in the ParaPanAm Games in Venezuela

She is now striving for the 2012 Olympics and another Gold

 

  Lou Salemme   

Reached top 10 in New England for 15 year olds

Good strong loop

Likes to play off the table

He holds his own with many excellent players 

 

  Roman Tinyszin   

International Umpire and National Referee

Has umpired many times in Europe

Chief umpire at the Nationals and US Open for many years

Became a coach and has been very successful

Coached wheelchair player Tara Profitt to a Gold medal in the ParaPanAm Games

Has volunteered coaching kids for five years now.

Very under rated player

Extremely smart player   

 

 Hunter Yocum 

# 1 rated as a 10 year old player in New England

# 16 player in the United States

Great loop kill. Very good serves

Very smart with excellent shot selection

Had a great tournament at the 2007 Joola NA Teams Open

Defeated many highly rated adults

Recorded an infomercial for TV

Great athlete
